Hand in the Dark Consulting brings together science, emotions, and adventure.

We work with organizations to get the most out of the entire process of program evaluation and learning development. From assessment to final report and implementation, opportunities for learning and organization development emerge for our consideration. We continue to partner with leaders as we define and decide on how to best address change that demands learning, and what change may yet come from learning.

Dr. Elisebeth VanderWeil

Principal Consultant

“Learning is all about change and the unknown, which are some of our greatest fears.”

Elisebeth achieved her doctorate in Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University, which ignited a passion for research and measurement. Her belief that there isn’t a lot of difference between being a good teacher and being a good leader is now backed up by data collected from individuals, teams, and organizations across the country. She is committed opening ways for people to be wonderful through changing the fear of change. She has worked with nonprofits, government, academia, and corporations large and small - always engaging with curiosity and collaboration to lean in to the change that needs to happen.

Elisebeth uses her academic discipline to remain curious, organized, methodical, and delighted with discovery. With over 20 years in diverse sectors, she brings agility, experience, and knowledge to effectively address “wicked problems” that defy technical or procedural fixes.
